JEFF SEVERNS GUNTZEL, CO-FOUNDER

Jeff Severns Guntzel, a journalist based in Minneapolis, is co-founder of Electronic Iraq. From 1998-2001 he led several humanitarian and fact-finding delegations to Iraq. He returned as a journalist in 2003, just after the invasion. Jeff's work has appeared in the Minneapolis Star Tribune, The Indianapolis Star, National Catholic Reporter, Punk Planet Magazine and online at Common Dreams, Counter Punch, and Electronic Iraq. He has also done numerous radio and television interviews, and has appeared on Democracy Now!, MSNBC, and the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. Jeff was last in the Middle East in 2006 to report on Iraqis fleeing to Jordan.

MAHASEN NASSER-ELDIN

Mahasen Nasser-Eldin is a Palestinian filmmaker living and working in Jerusalem. She is currently working on the documentary film series "Roots in the Old City," with Palmedia Productions. Mahasen has traveled and lived in Iraq as a student researcher and a humanitarian relief worker. She earned a master's degree from Georgetown University's Center for Contemporary Arab Studies.

NOAH BAKER MERRILL

Noah Baker Merrill spent five months in 2007 living and working among Iraqi refugees in the Middle East - conducting interviews, working to secure release for detainees, advocating for improvements of aid to Iraqi families, and consulting with UNHCR missions. He coordinates the Direct Aid Initiative, a project providing crucial medical care to displaced Iraqis. Noah has worked and reported on conflicts and peacebuilding efforts in Africa, Europe, Latin America, and Middle East. He holds a graduate certificate in Civil Society Peacebuilding Initiatives. He is based in Vermont.
